Using SharePoint Web Parts Templates from Visual Studio 2010 in Visual Studio 2012

Today, we will discuss about a strange issue of visual web part template being different in VS(visual studio)2012 in comparison to the Visual Web part template in VS2010.

In VS2012, if we create a visual web part we may get a .g.cs file instead of a designer file. This might give trouble to developers who are used to the older template of visual web part in SharePoint 2010.

We all are used to work with this old version of visual web part, but new visual web part is little different.

However, if someone wants to use the old template in VS2012, following steps need to be followed.

1. Copy this zip file from a computer with VS2010 installed: from the path
